Apply for a Parking Permit

Annual parking permits shall be valid for a twelve-month duration from the month of issuance. Available September 1st, 2023.

Per City Ordinance Sec.35 parking permits are established for parking privileges in the City parking lots.

Parking Permits shall be issued on an annual basis. Each permit will be valid until the last day of the twelve months from the date of issuance.

All parking permits will be “virtual” requiring a valid vehicle license plate provided by the customer.  

Parking permits will be available for Residents at NO COST.  Two types of parking permits will be available to non-residents.

Parking permits are VIRTUAL. No sticker or hangtag will be issued. A valid and accurate license plate is required during the parking permit application process. It is the vehicle owner’s responsibility to update new or changed license plate/vehicle information. 

All parking permit applications take a minimum of 72 hours to complete the approval process.  Permits will NOT BE VALID until complete. Prior to approval of a permit, you MUST PAY THE DAILY PARKING FEE to avoid enforcement action.

Residents with golf carts (Low Speed Vehicles) that are registered through the city will NOT have to get an Annual Permit & will automatically be exempt from paying for hourly/daily rates, since all golf carts registered with the city are confirmed city residents. However, if your Low-Speed vehicle (LSV) is registered through the State of Florida & has a license plate, you will have to obtain an Annual Permit for your LSV.



Residents

All City residents shall be eligible to obtain an Annual Pass (Permit), which will allow parking at all beach accesses and beach parking areas without being required to pay the daily parking rates.

The Annual Pass (Permit) shall be FREE for City of Satellite Beach residents.

Resident permits general rules are:

  • Permits shall be for a twelve-month duration from the month of issuance.  

  • Resident Permits will take a minimum of 72 hours from the initiation of the permit application process before the Permit is issued.

  • Each “residence” shall be entitled to register five license plates for a Permit.

  • Residency must be supported by proper documentation.

    • 1) current year property tax statement, 2) current year vehicle registration, 3) current period property lease/rental agreement with a minimum of six month term 

  • Once a Resident has established their Parking Permit account in ParkLync, they will be allowed to update their vehicle license plates within the ParkLync system. 


Non-Residents

Non-Resident Permits (Hightower EAST and Pelican Beach Park)

Non-residents shall be eligible to obtain an Annual Pass (Permit), which will allow parking at the parking lots listed below without being required to pay the hourly/daily parking rates.

  • Hightower Beach EAST Parking Lot

  • Pelican Beach Park Parking Lot

These non-resident Permits shall be offered at No Cost to the customer.

Non-resident permit general rules are:

  • Permits shall be for a twelve-month duration from the month of issuance.  

    • Example: If a non-resident is issued a permit on November 10th, 2023, that permit shall be valid until October 31st.

    • Non-resident Permits will take a minimum of 72 hours from the initiation of the permit application process before the Permit is issued.

  • Non-resident Permits are not transferable.


Non-Resident Permits (All Parking Lots)

Non-residents shall be eligible to obtain an Annual Pass (Permit), which will allow parking at all City parking lots without being required to pay the hourly/daily parking rates.

These non-resident permits shall be offered at a cost of $75.00. No proration, or discount, of the permit fee shall be offered.  

Non-resident permit general rules are:

  • Permits shall be for a twelve-month duration from the month of issuance.  

    • Example: If a non-resident is issued a permit on November 10th, 2023, that permit shall be valid until October 31st.

  • Non- resident Permits will take a minimum of 72 hours from the initiation of the permit application process before the Permit is issued.

  • Non-resident Permits are not transferable.

  • Non-resident Permit fees shall not be refundable or prorated based upon use.


Permit Application Process

Annual parking permits shall be valid for one year, commencing on the date of issuance and expiring 365 days thereafter.

New permit rules will be applied to ALL PERMITS on the date that any changes of permit rules go into effect per City policy change approval.  

The permit application process will be managed using the ParkLync permitting solution. Customers may apply for a permit over the internet by going to the ParkLync website.  

PCI will additionally provide customer support for applying for a parking permit. This will include a paper form process which shall be offered to customers.  

All permits will go through an approval and review process that will take no less than 72 hours.
